Survivors of the Oceanic Air flight 815 have to fight for survival in an unknown island and they have to discover their inner strength and the will to live in order to survive- this is the main storyline of the hit ABC show Lost. The moment they started to explore the island where the plane has crashed, this was the time that the survivors discovered for themselves that the island holds a number of secrets.

It is by their exploration that they have found out about the mysterious smoke monster, the polar bears and that strange French woman. The survivors also discovered that there is another group of settlers in the area, and this group is simply known as ‘The Others’. Their discoveries did not end there; they also found out that there were signs that indicate that a number of settlers have already resided in the area, and a notable evidence was the presence of ‘The Black Rock’ which is a 19th century ship, the ancient statue an signs of bunkers believed to be from the Dharma Initiative.

The Oceanic Flight 815 has 324 people, but it was revealed on the show that there were 71 survivors plus a dog. And at the start of the first season of Lost, 14 regular speaking roles were unveiled, and this made the show as the second largest show in terms of the number of cast. For the start of the first season, all 14 get the billing.

The actors for the first season of the show include Naveen Andrews, Emilie de Ravin as the pregnant Australian, Matthew Fox as the surgeon and the protagonist, Jorge Garcia plays Hugo Reyes as the lottery winner and Maggie Grace as Shannon Rutherford as the former teacher.
